What are the differences between the sonidus eq and the parametric eq? I
have never used the parametric. I have always used the sonidus. Is it better
or just different?

Subject: [ddots-l] Sonar EQ problem

Hi All,

I generally use the built-in parametric EQ in Sonar Producer 8 and
know how it should function, but in one particular project it simply
isn't working at all. I can see the parameters changing in the
inspector, but there is no effect whatever on the audio. This
project was started on an older version, and I'm wondering whether
that could be linked with the problem. I've tried reassigning track
outputs to the correct audio port, and I even thought maybe I should
try changing the bit-depth in case there was a mis-match but that
didn't help. Is there anything you can suggest to find out what's
causing this? One other clue: I tried applying Sonitus EQ as an
effect and that worked fine, but I really need the parametric one for
this so any help very much appreciated.

Best,

Peter
