William,
What do you have your recording bit rate, your sample rate, and rendoring bit
rate set at? When that happens, sometimes if you do a windows key then m to
minimize sonar, then control tab until you get back to sonar again, then press
space bar, it will stop it. I'm not sure why this happens, but it happens to me
too once in a while.

now I tried to record my voice with a midi file no problems.
but when I import audio backing file, and I start to record my voice, Sonar
won't stop
after pressing space bar immediately, maybe 4 or 6 bars later.
what you think experts?

william, can you be more specific on the sequence of events (the actual
keystrokes etc) that lead to this problem? You say it won't stop recording-do
you mean pressing spacebar during recording won't stop the transport? perhaps
you're transport toolbar is obscured by some window on screen that you're not
aware of.
Give exact details please.

I have a problem with Sonar V6.2.1
when I load an audio music file and I start to record my voice on an
another audio track the Sonar never stop just keep playing and recording for
ever
do you think it likes my voice hahahaha
but when I do the Same on Sonar V5.2 on the same computer it works fine.
what you think is the problem here I use real effect on a buss
