I've heard something about tiles, but I haven't confirmed it? However if
you get quilts-like or thick curtens or thick carpets, surround the walls
with those, but about an inch or 2 away from the wall, as if they weren't
touching the wall itself, and cover the floor to ceiling (can't leave the
wall exposed) that might help. You might add an extra carpet to the
recording area as well for floor sound absortion; but that's just the easy
way out, depending on the size of your room might work, might not...for my
small closet it did work, along with a dropped ceiling!

P.S. Anybody got any info on tiles and acoustics/sound proofing?

Hey I just got a brandnew condenser mic for recording.
How can I sound proof a regular bedroom for the time being at a reasonable
price. I know it's not a real studio but for the time being I need somthing
that'll do.
