[ddots-l] Strange soundcard behavour

Hi folks. When I upgraded to sonar 8.5 (at least I think it was at that
point) my M-audio Ozone turned strange. When I arm a track with playback, I
still get sound from my mike at no input volume. It's like there are 2
different chanels playing. It sounds quite dull at no volume and then I get
a lot more trebble when I turn it up. THe volume gets louder and I get
pretty much distortion.
When I try with my guitar with a distortion plugin. I have one clean sound
when the volume is turned down and when I turn it up, I had the distorted
sound turned up. LIke it was two chanels mixed together.
I updated the driver without any change. And now I borrowed a Lexicon Omega
from a friend. Looks like everything is fine with the installation and it
comes up normally in Sonar. But this problem still remains.
Could this be a Sonar problem? or something ive missed?
Any help about what I could try would be very much appriciated.
