Hi Greg.
Yep, Phil, Lenn, and whoever else is using Superior Drummer, I was just able
to register Superior itself, download a couple of updates to it, an update
to Avatar.sdx, and also download, authorize and install Music City USA SDX
which I bought yesterday, all using the new product manager. Toontrack need
to be applauded here! You will need to wander around and click on things
using the Jaws Cursor, but everything is accessible, including tabbing among
fields when entering serial numbers, login info, etc. Also, turning screen
echo to ALL will let you know how downloads are progressing. When you
install something, the usual installer you would normally download from the
Toontrack site opens.
I did run into one installer that required some Jaws cursor fiddling and
clicking, but it worked fine.
So, to sum up, you can tab to some things, you can find things like
"register a product" in the pull down menus, and everything else is
accessible using the Jaws cursor.
Bravo Toontrack!
So, was this just a happy accident, where the tools they used to code the
Product Manager happened to include some accessibility support, or did they
think to include us here? I don't know, but I'm so glad this wasn't a bust
for us.
Phil, you might want to script a couple of things to make this a little more
intuitive for folks who don't want to poke around with the Jaws cursor so
much, things like finding and clicking download, install, authorize, etc.
