No, I don't think the Pearl will work with anything but Openbook 9. Too bad 
because it's a vice way to scan.

I used OB9 and the Pearl to scan in music to recognize the text itself and it's 
sort of okay for that.

However if you use OB9 and the Pearl to just capture image files (TIFF or PCX) 
you can recognize these later with Sharp-Eye or SmartScore.
