Then contact Phl Muir here in the U.K. - info@xxxxxxxxxxxx - and discuss
training with him via Skype.

You'll be pushing the buttons, and to all intents and purposes, Phil will be
right beside you - even if in body he's 12,000 miles away.

  George

Wish we had that sort of training here in Sydney, Australia.
If you think it mightn't be a distant dream, then I would like to drum up
some support over here if only I knew how to go about it.

Like wise here in Montreal Quebec, if a client in my rehab centre is going
to school or work, and they apply for the government to have the software payed
and hardware as well, it is our mandate for us to teach that client the
software including music software wich was recently added as a special
consideration. At present I am the only trainer in Quebec who can train our
clients both software and hardware, and of course using braille music should
they desire it.
Client who also purchase the software and belong to my rehab centre also
can benifit from the training too.
I'm telling you it took a long time to get the government to get me to
teach the software, but with a little help from another rehab centre, and
trainer, who I have millions of thanks to give, is how this all happened, and
of course the client as well.
imagine what a conversation in a restaurant can do. After some
clarification to one of the government representatives, it all started going on
the right track.

I can't stress how much the training in the music software packages is
needed. I remember about 10 years ago having to learn this software on my own
with only the good guidance of the guys from Dancingdots, and David Pinto, and
Gord just to mention but a few.

      Hi all!

Thought I should change the subject line to reflect the content.

      Mike Christer wrote: snip,
4 years ago, I was in the same boat, and believe me, if I'd known about
the services provided by Chris,Phil or Tim, I would've made a 'B' line for the
first one of them who had the time available. It really would be money well
spent, you could learn all this stuff in a couple of sessions, and the stress
you're causing yourself would be totally avoided!

Phil replied: Yes, & remember that if you're working professionally as a
musician in the UK then, you are entitled to Access to work support. For any
of you who don't know about this, the government will pay for training or
accessibility related stuff, such as training on how to use hardware such as
the Tascam FW-1884, software such as Cake Talking, Sound Forge, Sibelious, or
training on how to use HotSpotClicker etc. Also, if you're currently attending
an educational establishment on a music course and you feel that you need some
training then, we may be able to help. Finally, we offer world wide training
via Skype. Both Tim and I are experienced in this specialised field and train
musicians on music technology hardware and software.

Part of this training could include creation of HotSpotClicker support in
plug-ins and applications that currently don't have support. That's how we
were able to get the .HsC sets for the LiquidMix going.

If any of you require support in this way then, feel free to contact
myself or, Tim privately. Either of us will be happy to help you put a
quotation together for Access To work. Note: we don't charge for helping you
write the quotation so, ultimately this will all cost you nothing but could
result in you gaining some training.
