Hi All,

I am new to Sonar (currently waiting the arrival of my new DAW and
spending much time with the CakeTalking tutorials). Back in the days of
DOS, I did some extensive work with Voyetra's Sequencer Plus Gold. One of
the things I loved about that program were some of the more experimental
transforms for working with and editing midi data: randomizing pitches,
retrograding the contents of a loop, inverting a melody so that the contour
was flipped upside down - this sort of thing. I found it to be a fun way to
stumble on new musical ideas I wouldn't have consciously invented.

So, I'm not all the way through the CakeTalking reference materials,
but have spent a fair bit of time reading, and am curious if it is possible
to do these sorts of things in Sonar. I don't need the details of how
spelled out - I'm far from that stage, but a pointer in the direction of the
best lessons to read, or plug ins to check out, would be great.

Also, is any one on the list doing active work with just intonation
in Sonar? Do some of the soft synths support this? I'd love to know.

Thanks much,
Bill S.
