[ddots-l] Unable to use Advance Keystroke in Step Record

Hi, Everyone.

I'm using CT8.5 and Sonar 8.5 Producer, and am still trying to grasp how to
step record. I can record basic patterns, as long as there are no rests in
them. When I try to input a quarter, a rest, and an eighth, Sonar wants to
arm the track instead of advance to the next step, so the eighth doesn't get
inputted on the "and" of beat 2. I tried doing the insert+3 to pass the "a"
through, but no luck there. (I'm inputting on to a MIDI track, and can see
the quarter note got inputted when I go to the Events View. The eighth lands
on the 2 of the measure.)

 

Any ideas?
