Hey Bill!
it's Jorgen from Sweden here.
Is sonar 7 really out now? I didn't know that sonar has already comming up with it he he. Well by the way, I wonder I still have sonar 6.2.1 though, do you know if there's anymore updates for sonar 6 before sonar 7?.I hope that CT will come out with a small update for sonar 6 like CakeTalking 6..2.4.3 or so to fix some more bugs which I think that some people still have. I have 2 small bugs which has to be fixed and the first is the keystroke for the audio cklick to be turned on and off and the second it the overwrite punch mode function is not working so good. when I set the from and through points then go in to the overwrite punchmode and start the recording it doesn't do it and that's a bug that has to be fixed before people can start upgrating from sonar 6 to sonar 7. I am honest here he he. well then, I'd really like to see an upgrade for CT 6 for sonar 6 if it's posible.
Greetings,
sincerely,
Jorgen from Sweden!

For those of you who are ready and who live in the U.S., please go to
www.DancingDots.com, select the "Products" link and then the link to SONAR.
You can now order your upgrade to SONAR 7 from our site. Just keep pressing
the letter h until you hear the heading for ordering upgrades.

Dancing Dots matches current price which you would pay by ordering direct
from Cakewalk.

Thanks for your support.

Bill

We should begin a beta test for CakeTalking for SONAR 7 soon.

Regards,
Bill

Not only in audio, but jaws 7 has been the most stable version in and for
general use as well, though I use 8 because of its support for apps, 7 was
more responsive, faster, and stable.

Arnaud, I do have JFW 8 here however, I am sticking with Jaws 7.1.500 as it
seems to be the most stable build to use for audio production. It would be
a big big mistake, if David were to make CT only run in Jaws 8 and above, as
most audio guys that I know are stickking with JFW 7.1.500.

Gor,

Do you already know if CT7 will still be compatible with jfw 7 or if it
will require jfw 8 absolutly.

don't plan to upgrade my JAWS in any case, so just to be aware.

The external insert plug-in lets you treat an external effect unit as part
of your sonar mix. You
have sends and returns just like a regular software effect, but you route
them to inputs and
outputs on your sound card. The realtime bounce feature lets you mix down
your Sonar project with
the external effect as part of the mix, and you can automate the send
levels going into the
effect. I truthfully haven't played with it very much, but it certainly
has possibilities.

My guess it would probably be kind of like
native-instruments guitar rig which simulates a guitar
amplifier as a softsynth.
