Chriss,
i had using Windows 7 64-bit and JAWS 13 and Sonar 8.5.3 with CakeTalk scripts
8.8 since Christmas of 2013. In other words, I decided not to update, as the
ones who trained me to use Sonar had told me not to use Internet, except for
sharing a Dropbox folder with them et c'est tout.
In my opinions, one of them any advantages of using Sonar is to program and
control your synths, allowing you to change the time it take to end a midi
message (release a note on a controller keyboard), the vibrato rate or depth.
This indeed just like when they programmed a soundfont for a video game console
depending on the game's card.
If you have other questions, you could always be in touch with us!!!
Meci.

Well Adel, you use CakeTalking don't you? Does it work with Sonar versions
newer than 8.53, Windows 10, or more recent Jaws versions?

Greetings Anabelle and the community
How may this be possible that upgrating Windows could make softwares less
compatible with JAWS?
Thank you.

It started happening in 2015, the moment I started updating Windows! Until that
day, I was able to record flawlessly with any devices I have. Which is why I'm
now going to run Windows without updates, since updating just messes everything
up and breaks compatibility with JAWS.

Have you always been able to record like this? Did this start happening
recently? Or has it been doing this for a while?

If by DAW you mean my computer, I've had it since September 2, 2011. The
graphics card I have is the AMD ATI Radeon HD5400 series, though I'm not sure
of the exact model. I also have the Intel HD Graphics 3000. One of those two is
my graphics card, and the other is my video card, which I think also has audio
features. I also have the Realtek High Definition Audio soundcard built in to
the machine.

Hi, it's Annabelle.
When I'm either recording or playing audio within Sonar, JAWS sometimes seems
to fall asleep. Could it be that focus is lost? Why is the Focus Loss
Announcement turned off by default? How do I prevent this from happening? Also,
what can I do to prevent dropouts and stuttering, clicks and pops when
recording from my computer's internal soundcard into the MOTU 896HD?
