You'd still need a keyboard controller.

I have another question. I'm a key bord player and some times i don't feel like bringing a keybord. Can you use sonar to play in a live situation? Is there any way to use the scarby electric piano soft synth in sonar? if not Are there any good sounding accessible pianos, electric pianos, organ, or string sounds that i can use?

Brian: I saw a band use sonar with audio files sending a click track through
a separate output on the multiple output soundcard.

Has anyone ever used sonar to create click tracks to play live to with a
band during a live gigging situation? I know that ableton live lets you
produce click tracks and put loops to play on top of the click track that
goes out front so the audience can hear them and then the click track is fed
back to the band in their in-ear monitor mixes, but I was wondering if any
one has ever used sonar to do things of this nature. Thanks,
