Hello!
I'm using I-Tunes to convert wav to mp3.
It's perhaps not the best way of converting files, but I think it's rather fast and reliable to do this.
If I'm not completely wrong, the I-tunes software is for free.

Chris i wasn't sure if soundforge gave a certain number of mpcs that you could save beofre having to contact them for some reason of other. hope that makessense.
maybe this was version 10 perhaps?
