So I guess that 61 keys means the keyboard ranges from the C below the bass
cleff (the lowest note of the cello and the baritone saxophone for some, unless
it be their own A below the treble cleff, as the baritne is in concert E flat)
to the C one octave beow the normally highest note on a traditional piano. The
harpsichord and the fortepiano (Mozart, Haydn and early Beethoven) had five
octaves: from the second F below the Bass cleff (one semitone higher than the
lowest note of the bass guitar) to the F above the treble cleff. The
harpsichord for which Scarlatti wrote his sonatas ran from the G below the bass
cleff to the G, two octaves above the treble cleff's reference note.
Speaking of a need of 88-key keyboard for a classical pianist, someone said on
YouTube that 85 keys may be fine as classical music mainly requires 85 keys. In
the late 19th century, some who started to use the high B flat or the high B,
one of whom includes Tchaikosvky and Saint-Saens, had written for today's
88-key range, in my personal opinion.
To return to 61 keys, I think the Yamaha Tyros3 may be fine mainly for popular
music for a live concert. If you are a classical or jazz pianist, an 88-key
keyboard shall be the best choice, as Rachmaninof, Ravel and perhaps Debussy
used today's range.

If your keyboard, Yamaha's Tyros3 is a full-sized keyboard (88 keys, like on
a traditional piano), you would be fine to perform anything on stage:
classical, jazz, and pop.

Budget: The Roland VR-09 is about a grand, I'd like to not go too much
higher if I don't have to.
Number of keys: 61 or more
Action: Unweighted would be my first choice
Speakers: Not needed, I have all the amp & headphone resources I need.
Brand: I'm not married to a single brand, but I definitely want samples
that sound as natural as possible. One of the reasons I like the Roland is
because their engines are usually top notch, but I am open to other choices.
Application: I envision using this both as a solo performer building songs
with loops, layers and splits, but also playing as a member of a band.
