At present, you can certainly use the tranzport with sonar, but you won't get
any direct feedback from jaws. However, since many of us are used to working
with hardware such as outboard gear, synthesizers and keyboards, and even stand
alone audio work stations, which obviously have no speech output, this isn't as
big a problem as it might seem. You can set your sonar tracks up, then drive
Sonar from a remote location in your studio using the tranzport. If you are
used to counting button presses on menu driven equipment, using the tranzport
to move to the appropriate track, arm it for recording, and start sonar is a
snap. If have also bound a key combination on the tranzport to initiate input
monitoring on a given track. You may even want to set up bindings for some
basic operations like save, undo (actually I think that's already there), etc.
You can easily set and go to locate points as well.

Do you have scripts for the transport?
I have it but didn't know that JFW would work with it, isn't right now, how
can I change this?

I do not have the FW 1884 and so I cannot make a comparison between it
