Dominique,

First thing I'd recommend is that you get rid of Norton using their removal 
tool. Put on a less intrusive anti-virus like MS-Essentials or AVG.

You've attached a very large boat anchor to your speedy canoe.

On some ATI and Nvidia series 8, 9 and Quadro video chipsets, the system
reverts to 4-bit color when Jaws is inserted into the video chain. Video
hooks may have downgraded on this machines from Windows 7 to XP. When
the drivers for these chipsets are installed into Windows XP Pro, they
are not utilizing resources properly – Solution – download the
VideoFix.zip file to the desktop, unzip the file, follow prompts to
complete the registry change. Restart the system. This solution has been
down on this machine.
