No, I am already using sonar 8.5 with the proper caketalking scrips. I
was talking about moving to a daw that works on windows 10, as 7 is
about to become obsolete. I am curious about the differences between
samplitude and reaper as far as eas of use.
Is it possible to have both operating systems on the same machine and
choose between them?

to use Sonar; and my laptop to which Sonar is present works under Windows 7,

To return to your problem, Do you mean that you should update your Caketalk
scripts? Choose a version of the CakeTalk scripts that would be compatible
with Windows 10?

Well, I'm presently using sonar 8.5 with the caketalking 8.5 scrips, and a
soundcraft mtk22 mixer.
Since it all runs on windows 7, and from what I understand from what I've
read, they're not compatible with windows 10, so I'm going to have to change
soon if I want to continue to record. Also, from what I understand I won't
be able to get support or repares on what I now have anymore.
This has me concerned as well.
