Adel, I have a Windows7, 64-bit machine, running sonar8.5.3 with jaws16. I
sometimes go out to the internet with this machine. I have added jaws2020 so
that I can use Google Chrome. Freedom Scientific told me that I must do all
Windows7 updates in order to complete a successful install of jaws2020. My
concern was that by doing all windows7 updates, I might disturb my sonar.

Subject: [ddots-l] Re: Your Version of Win7
Greetings Thomas,
Before I try to answer to your question, I would like to inform you that I
had been using JAWS 13 (in English) and Windows 7 64-bits to use Sonar. Those
who had been training me had recommended me to keep my equipment, on which this
software is, the way it is, as SONAR is big.
So would like to use JAWS 2020 on your Windows 7? By the way, which version
of Win7? 32-bits? 64-bits?
Thank you.
Adel

Objet : [ddots-l] sonar 8.5.3 and windows7 updates
List, I am trying to add/install Jaws2020 to my windows7/jaws16/sonar
machine. I know that sonar works only up to jaws16. When I tried to install
j2020, I got an error and Freedom Scientific said that I had to install all of
the updates for windows7 before the j2020 will install. My question is will
installing windows7 updates ruin my sonar or can I do the windows7 updates
without affecting sonar; thus, allowing me to add j2020 to my machine?
Thanks.
