Hello, Frank, We use a free service called freelists that sets up online listservs. The archives for the lists are available on the freelists site to anyone who wants to search them. This feature is quite useful if people remember to use it because sometimes a certain question one of us might have has already been asked and answered in the past on our list. I remember when cordless phones first came into use. Someone said something very wise to me about using a cordless phone. That is: "Don't say anything into a cordless phone that you would not say into a public address system". Same would apply here: don't post anything here that you would not feel comfortable saying over a public address system. And, what's more, we not only have to think about the first time we say something but also all of the countless times it may get repeated as people browse the list archives. I'm veryy sorry cause this is very off topic but I think very important. I googooled my own name yesterday out of curiousity and a hole bunch of emails from the dancing dots list came up. this in itself isn't that big a deal, but it does beg the question, how secure is this mailing list?? can any one tell me how something like this can happen and if its ever happened to them? thanks very much Frank Fitzgerald RMT
