Hey Tim!
This is a very cool feature indeed!
I pretty well understand how to make this happend in Sonar but how about on the
control surface end of things?
I have a Yamaha 02R96 console which has a control surface function. It is
connected to my DAW via a USB cable and can pretty well use it to control
assignable parameters in Sonar using the remote control function.
But do you think that the control surface has to be in a special mode to use
the ACT functions, like a learning mode or something?

I'm sure that if I read the clumsy Yamaha manual, I could probably find
something useful but if you could put me in the right direction, i'd appreciate
it.

Regards.
Jean

Active Controller Technology - it maps any automatable parameters within a
soft synth or FX plug-in to the controls on an external hardware control
surface. The clever bit is that, once mapped for a particular plug, the system
automatically activates that mapping every time the plug concerned comes into
the foreground. This means that your control surface is automatically
reconfigured as you move from plug to plug.

  Best wishes.

Jason Dassant's going to be covering ACT in his tutorial, but the short
answer is "yes".

      Best wishes.

I just read a cool article on act in sound on sound's latest issue, but
of course, it presents everything from the mouse. Is this usable by blind users
from the keyboard? Can I assign controls on my tascam fw1884 to control
compressor knobs or delay knobs, etc? I am using caketalking 6 with sonar 6
producer. Is there anything in the CT docs on this?
