I am not sure I understand your question completely, however, I would say that if your audio segment is already perfect timewise, you should make sure you are setting the from and through at the exact beginning and ending of a measure, and then paste it to the beginning of the measure you want. If your audio segment is not quite in time yet, you should first select it and see if you can quantize it using audio snap before copying and pasting it. If your segment starts or ends somewhere in the middle of a measure, then, you should change one of the settings in the paste menue. I am not at my DAW right now, but I think that there is an option that says something about "copying to whole measures." If that option is selected when pasting a segment that does not start or ends at the exact beginning or ending of a measure, then Sonar will extend that segment to the beginning or ending of the measure. This will create a blank or silence between each copy of your segment.

hi list it's rodney, i have audio on a track highlighted?. then i go
to set from and through times with f.9 an f.10. then all coppy and
paste audio to same track. when audio is playing back slight delay. i
want to have a steddy loop. sonar producer 8.5 has many tools to get
this semple job?. cakewalk told me to set to messure it's set to hole
in audio snap. list do u know  of any other tools that can work in
project?.
