[ddots-l] control surface info wanted

Hi Listers,
I am a sonar and caketalking user. I am using a delta 1010
sound card for my recording inputs. I have my system sounds go
through a sound blaster audigy, so I can play my sonar songs through
it by changing the drivers in the audio options of sonar since my
boston accoustic sound system is wired to that sound card. When
recording, we use headphones through a small mackey mixer. I'm
having pretty good results making good sounding recordings of my
client. Now, my question is, what would a control surface add to my
capabilities, and what is a good, resonably priced unit. I do not
need a musical keyboard as I have a motif es 8. Any help would be
greatly appreciated!
