In a way, yes. I think some of it is natural, like the difference between
playing a piano, which fades out, and another instrument, like an organ or
strings, that continues to be sustained. But, also, it seems that the
strings sometimes react against the piano, stopping shorter than I want it
to. Or the strings lag behind the beats, or drag into the next beat.
Sometimes even the piano sustains into the next note or chord. In short,
I guess there is a problem with all patches in controlling the length they
are sustained, or not sustained. I just want to know how, technically, to
be exactly in control without having to play the parts over again.
