Not sure on the 25, but the oxygen61 is class compliant, so you just plug it in and it works, no drivers needed; it works under 7 no problems, not sure about the mac, though I'd imagine so, since no drivers are required. Did they ever make Win 7 or Mac OSX Lion drivers for it? K. It has: 61 touch sensitive keys (with programmable velocity) Pitch bend wheel, modulation wheel, octave shift up and down buttons (for shifting the entire keyboard), transpose button (for shifting the keyboard in semitones), it has 9 sliders, 8 nobs, 9 push buttons, and 6 mmc (play, stop, pause, rewind, fast-forward, recordetc). All those buttons except transpose/octave shift are assignable to whatever. You can assign to midi cc, rpn, nrpn, bank/program change or toggle messages. The best part is that to program it you use the keys on the keyboard itself, to enter numbers and select values, no having to scroll or do any of that! The oxygen can save upto 10 presets for easy recall, and if you have reason, it comes configured to work with it out of the box; reason6 can even update the reason preset and make it work with the new stuff on its own! If you don't like programming or don't want to deal with it, you can just use the basic preset and use sonar's midi learn function or your soft synth's midi learn to assign any slider or nob to the oxygen's nobs or sliders, you can even use the push button to toggle things on screen, send bank and patch changes, increase programs by one or decrease by one etc. Also, since it has a midi out port and can be externally powered, you can use it to controll another keyboard, sequencer, a rack sound module etc. I used it in combination with my motif; i like the fact that it has 2 buttons that let you move the ouput channel up and down, so you can have the oxygen send out midi on just 1 of the 16 channels; good for multitrack situations, or when you have something like the motif which has different sounds on each track/channel, all you do is move the oxygen's output to the desired channel, and start playing the new sound! The manual is also easy to read and understand; I was able to get up and running just by reading the manual and poking around with it; that's good accessibility in my opinion. Regarding midi keybords; exist several to choose, it all depends of how much you will want to pay! The one I use, is a midi arranger, the Roland EXR 5S. However, if you dont want a midi keybord with speackers or a expensive synthesizer, use midi keybord controlers that have knobs, modulations keys, a bunge of possibilitys to be use with in a DAW. Some in this list use the Oxigen midi controler per example. regards, Rui Vilarinho ----- Original Message ----- From: Johan Piryns <mailto:johan.piryns@xxxxxxxxx> To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, June 14, 2012 12:32 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: enable sonar jaws surface I have forgotten installed patch 8.5.1.
