Many of the templates that come with CT already have several sends inserted.

Go to the audio track, then hold down the insert key and press the dash key.
After that hit your right mouse button. A menu should open up and in that
menu you should see an option to insert a send. It's a sub menu. So, go in
and you will se more options. Hope that helps.
