You might have to switch the Audio Output of the softsynth's audio track to
either your headphones or your main outs (speakers/monitors).

Subject: [ddots-l] input monitoring on midi tracks

  Hello,

If I want to monitor an external synth in sonar from its midi track, don't i
simply have to just turn on input echo on that midi track? I'm doing that, but
I still can't hear the keyboard through sonar's input monitoring. Am I missing
any steps?

  Thanks.
