Subject: [ddots-l] making a loop revisited

Hello All, Have done some reading but hoping that someone can perhaps help
me offlist so as to not bore anyone. Am still not grasping how to really use
the loop feature and have a tough time pulling out what I need to know from
manual. Hoping to get some coaching of how to do the following; I would
like to take a 30 second drum groove and have this loop continue on for
approx four minutes which I'd like to be track no. 1. All other tracks would
be over the bed of a 30 sec. loop that lasts 4 minutes. Could someone
explain to me how they might try to do this. Have a feeling there may be a
couple ways of approaching it and hoping to get a feel for what needs to be
done.
I understand how to pick the size of the loop to make and use l and
double l to turn off loop. So, do I now save this loop somehow in order to
use it in a song? All suggestions or any help is appreciated. Dave
