Hello:In order to provide headroom in your mix, you need to give yourself headroom on your individual tracks. Also, make sure that the output of all your tracks are either assigned to the master bus or to a submix bus that is assigned to the master. Check the level of your master before you export, playing a passage with the loudest peaks in it. You can always lower the master a bit too. Headroom is one of the most important elements to achieving a good mix.

Hi all. I need to get a track to a recording studio. They want a bit of headroom on the track. How do I mix down the track to ensure the necissary headroom? I ask because when I mix down to a stereo track and then import the wave file back in to sonar the peak level is 0.0 please help Kind regardsLen Viljoen Gospel Singer Email1: len@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Email2: g-boy@xxxxxxxxxx Tel: 023 3470022 Mobile: 082 3954286 Fax: 023 3470022 Skype: lenviljoen Windows Live: gospelboy07@xxxxxxxxxxx PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
