The first one had more in it than the second one, the second one was way more compact, so if you are going to do more stuff with it, I'd go with number 2, but if you keep it like it is go with number one. I personally liked number one's ending better and number 2's beginning better.

Hi, What brief did you give to the session guy? If you're not happy with whathe's done, which is the gist of your mail, we need to understand why you'renot happy. I couldn't say that I liked one version over the other, though the sound effects didn't really float my boat but then that's not my call, as it's your project. Presumably you hired this guy to add something that you didn't think you could do yourself, so how did you express this to him? I assume you were pretty specific if you're paying high-end session fees. Best wishes. Basically, I'm completely about to explode because of some of the work akeyboardist/ programmer has done for me. Below is a link to a folder whichI am inviting anyone who's willing to download. The purpose of all of this is to get your musical wisdom/ opinions. The folder contains 2 versions of the same song. Here's how its all laid out:One version is a "mock up", which features my keyboard playing, programmingand a scratch lead guitar. Another version features the keyboard playingand programming from one of the biggest guys in the business today. Keep inmind, the same scratch guitar appears on both cuts. I'm not asking for opinions on the guitar, its a scratch, I'm asking for your thoughts on thekeyboards and programming. My question to you is, which sounds the best toyou. All that's left to do on either one of these tracks is to add trumpet, or, at least that's how its supposed to be.What you will hear is a guitarist who don't play keyboard, and a person whomakes his living playing keyboard and doing sound design. I'll leave it up to you to tell me what you think. After a few days I'll post to the list and let you know which cut I programmed completely, and which is the peace of "work" from the other person. I just ask for your ears and thoughts... Here's the link: https://rcpt.yousendit.com/964900803/ba8c8cd7f9212856608a861968948dd6 Thanks, Shawn PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
