Hi Omar,

If I'm reading your email correctly, things have change since my old Fostex
mixer, on the Fostex, there's no EQ on any of the 8 busses yet the 12 channels
have HF, MF with sweep and LF with sweep.

I understand the thinking in adding EQ to buses but why take it away from the
channels?

Maybe it's because producers like to record the instruments flat and that way
they can add what's needed on the track by using internal software.

Regards to your question, I don't believe there's away in where you can have
more than 8 instrument EQ separately without added separate EQ unit.

Subject: [ddots-l] no post eqs on my mixer

  Hello,

I just picked up a Mackie Onyx 2480 analog mixer for my setup. The mixer does
not have post eqs for each direct channel, but does have pre and post eqs on
its 8 busses. Does this mean that I'm limited to the busses if I want to do
some equing on my projects from the mixer?

  Thanks for all input.
