Hi Dan,

Yes, you can hear the buz on playback, especially with a quiet intro. Once the
song gets going its hidden.
As I said earlier, the low, slow pulsing buz disappears when the record key is
pressed.

Cheers.

Jim, can you hear the buzz when you play back in sonar or is it just when you
record?

    Hi Phil,

I only have one sound card, its the m-audio fw 4-10. As I said in my
earlier post, when I play audio files through this sound card they are fine, no
noise, however, when I launch Sonar and arm the track, there is a low, slow
pulsing buz. When I hit the record key, the buz seems to disappear. Then
after I've recorded several tracks another low constant hum can be heard.

    Any suggestions?

Jim, what sound card are you using in order to playback audio outside of
Sonar? If you are exclusively using the M-audio in Sonar and a second sound
card to play audio in other applications then, it could be the M-audio.

        Hi List,

Every time I launch sonar I get a low level pulsing hum. I thought it
might be my M-audio fw 4-10 sound card, but when playing other sound files,
everything sounds clean as a whistle. Could this hum be something to do with
my pc?

        Best wishes
