Hi Omar,One other possibility is the OpticBook 3600, which is a scanner specifically designed with a book-edge that makes it suitable for even larger books. Many blind people are using that with good results in a range of OCR programmes. You can find it on Amazon etcetera.HTH, Peter At 10:16 PM 5/21/2011, you wrote:Hello,I appologize for this being off topic, but I figure we're probably some of the most tech-oriented group of blind folks around. So, are there scanners that are better designed for scanning books into the comp more than others? I know we should use a flatbed, but are there any specificly made that capture the angle of books where the binding pages meet?Thank you for any help.
