I think everyone should take a look at the website
www.rockbox.org
They have interfaces which will speak. The Iriver is one of the devices
which is supported. I've had it on my Archos recorder 20GB player for the
last 2 years. It has made it a lot more fun for me when listening to my
music and other materials. Check them out.

Hello! You can try the Iriver h series of mp3 players. I have an h320,
and I swear by it. It is one of the best tools for musicians like us.

Hello,

The IPod Shuffle is supposed to be accessible, although I don't
have one yet. There is a book available from the National Braille Press
called "the IPod Experience: Gaining Access to the Ipod Shuffle," by Anna
Dressner. NBP's phone number is 800 548-7323.

Another friend suggested I check out the Sanza, which also allows
one to play audiobooks, but I didn't get around to it yet.

         Good luck.

                                 Audrey
