MessageWell, (nodding his head), it just goes to show how many "modern" studios
you've been in recently...

Mac is still the industry leader bya mile. I've never seen a pro studio that
had anything besides Pro Tools on a dedicated Mac.

Not necessarily. In fact, there are more professionals coming over to
using Sonar on a PC.

Hi Kevin, I'm thinking of going Mac in the future, any pointers I should
be aware of?
Is Mac still the better choice for music software?
I know that our access is limited, but it would be great to have the best
of two worlds.

I've got 2 macs here. One of which also runs windows so I can switch
back and forth on 1 machine.

Does anyone else on the list own a Mac? I remember now listening to
that on blind cool tech. I don't remember liking the voice as much as jaws.

That's interesting. Is outspoken just as good as jaws?

I've always been using PC's for office stuff, but was using a Mac
running OS 9 and OutSpoken to use Pro Tools. However, because of the fact that
a current version of Pro Tools is not accessible, I've never been able to
upgrade and use newer softsynths and such. So, I have migrated over to the PC
and am running Sonar. I still have my Pro Tools machine encase clients need me
to do something in that platform, but with my plunge into Sonar, I haven't
launched Pro Tools in about 8 months.
