OK, the easiest way is to assign a knob on a controller keyboard to spit out
CC5 messages and just twiddle away. Failing that, try this:

1 - Select the MIDI track that's controlling your synth;

2 - Bring up the Event View;

3 - Move to the note event to be affected by your change;

4 - Press Insert+3 so that Jaws ignores your next keystroke;

5 - Press the Insert key on its own. This will insert a new event that will
be exactly the same as the event you were positioned on before you pressed
the key, however, you will now be positioned on the new event, not the
original (this is important);

6 - Use your left/right cursor keys to position yourself on the "Kind"
column (it'll say Note) and press Enter. You can use up/down cursors to
select the required event type (you want Controller), then press Enter;

7 - Use your right arrow key to get to the Data column and press Enter. In
the edit box that appears, type in the controller number you want to use
(e.g. 5), then press Enter;

8 - Press the right cursor key again to get to the Value column (this title
doesn't announce for me) and press Enter. You can now type in the value for
your controller parameter, so low values should give you short glide times
and large ones much longer - it's a 14-bit range, so it'll take big numbers!

You can insert as many of these messages as you want, so you can adjust the
length of glides throughout the track, assuming that the synth supports the
function.

 Best wishes.
