Would I still need sited assistance if I just got the sound module? Couldn't I
use Sonar as the sequencer? It seems to me that doing it this way is more cost
effective. Am I missing something?

a sighted person to work with you in the beginning.

I'm not sure about sabilius, but yes the interface n the x7 is the same
as the x6.
