if i remember, the m-audio controlers nad a switch that lets you select between 
midi and usb. do you have that switch set to the right slection?

      I'm trying to set up a midi controller.  I had a friend download the 
drivers and can't get past that.  CT says no midi connected.  I know that's not 
a lot of info but can somebody get me started trouble shooting.
      The controller is a m audio key station 49. 
      Before this I was using a keyboard connected to the midi connections from 
the sound card from the back of the PC
