Hey Phil, you are then sayint that tascams preamps are not up to standard?
What would you recommend in their place then?

Hello,

I'm considering purchasing a tascam fw1884. Currently, my setup is like
this: I'm using a Mackie 16-channel mixer with an edirol fa66 soundcard.
Could somebody possibly give me some pros and cons to both types of setups?
I know that with the tascam, everything is in one unit, which is one pro.
Would you guys mind sharing your opinions before I make the purchase?

Thanks.
