    Omar,

In Windows Explorer you need to go to tools/options and go to the file
types tab. See if you can get Sonar associated with .MID files there.

I'm not sure, give it a try, though it should play thru the gs
wavetable anyway?

Have you checked ctrl panel/sounds & audio devices for the midi
music playback default device?

              Hello,

For some reason, when I try and open a .mid file, i'm getting the
message that "windows can not open this program," etc. I know that when I
installed Sonar i selected all associated files, like .mid, to be played
through it. When I do a control o from within sonar, i can open the file, but
when i go to the folder in its folder and hit enter to open it, it won't open.
Also, when the "choose from a list of programs" dialogue appears," after the
other windows message, sonar isn't even in the list.

              Any help would be appreciated.

              Thanks.
