[ddots-l] step sequencer

hi all. i still can't get the step sequencer to work. when i press the
caketalking shortcut keys they don't work. enter doesn't work on the
checkboxes and the letters for the different types of notes doesn't work
either. i tried pass key through but nothing works. can someone please
assist me?
