I hear you man!
In my experience, you have to keep playing with these parameters as your
project evolves.
The problem of course is that the more you increase your dma buffer size.
using the input monitoring in sonar becomes intolerable. It's no fun...
What i do in that case is that I don't use the input monitoring from sonar
but monitor directly from the input of my mixing board.
