Hi Luis,
I tried both of your suggestions, they make 100% sense to me, but still the
same thing is happening. I wonder if it is a setting in the Novation
X-Station.
Thanks all the same. I gotta figure this out, it's got to work.

hi stacy:
in the project options there is a midi out tab.
uncheck the patch / controller search back option.another way is to select
your patch when searching for patches and once you found the one you like
you can assign the patch to none so you won't receive the patch change
resetting the sound.

record.

Hi all,
Any ideas how to solve this problem?

With my Novation X-Station synth plugged in via USB, I set a bunch of effect
settings, decay, cut off etc. and basically shape the sound to the way I
want it. but, then I press record on Sonar and boom, when I press the keys,
all the tweaking I've done is lost and the synth plays in it's original
default sound.

WTF? Any ideas or suggestions?
Thankya!
Stacy
