Hi Brian,

Regarding effects try the sonitus effects delay and sonitus reverb, if you play
around with both effects you can create very sweet sounding or brash sounding
vocal effects.
Simply pick a Sonitus delay preset,Go into the parameters tab through each one
listening to the changes as you arrow up or down, you'll soon start to see how
each one alters the,:
Delay timing, delay repeats, amount of delay feedback...
Do the same process with the Sonitus reverb presets.
Cake Talking as made Sonitus very accessible.

If the voice is a little thin, try adding the Kate walk effects to chorus as
there are some nice chorus presets and some of these are vocal presets.

If by chance your using Sonar 8.5 there are even more choices of great effects.

Subject: [ddots-l] transposing an audio track

  Hello,
I am going to be recording a vocalist who is singing to backing tracks that
have been created. She says that one of her tracks is to high for her. Is
there any way in sonar to ranspose a track that has been imported in to sonar
down a whole or half step so she can sing to it without the audio sounding like
it has been manipulated with? Also, any tips on plugins to use with a female
vocalist such as effects and things of that nature would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
  Brian
