Brett,
You would need Optical Braille Recognition software which allows you to scan hard-copy braille such as what you might have written on a Perkins into the computer. Then you could make it single- or double-sided. Alternatively, you can write out a complex layout in advance using a Perkins, and then re-type the finished layout into your computer. It's a lot of work, but sometimes, if you know in advance what words will land under each other and how much space certain tabular things take up, you can actually save time. I'm sorry if I misled you in any way.
