Hi, Lynn,

I think the problem is that the highlighting is at least one line ahead of
where you think it will be. For example, if you are highlighting two lines, it
seems that highlighting the first line and then pressing F8 for the heading
will apply to both lines.

I hope I explained well enough and that this will help.

Subject: [duxuser] Applying styles to highlighted text

Hi all,

Here's something that's been frustrating me. When I want to apply a style to a
paragraph in a .dxp file, I highlight the appropriate line or lines, press F8
and select the style to apply. As I am sighted and do this in Code view, I can
see immediately where the beginning and ending style codes go, and often it's
not where I want it. The style ending will go a paragraph further on. Or the
beginning code will go too early. This happens especially when I'm trying to
apply an h1. style, so extra text gets centered. I suspect the problem has to
do with where a carriage return [<] or line ending [l] is placed.

Can anyone explain what's happening, or point me to the appropriate part of the
Duxbury Help? I should mention that these are usually files that I've created
within Duxbury (not imported), although it can be when I'm trying to change the
formatting of an imported file.

Thanks, Lynn
