I have very limited working knowledge of this scanning software, but I think
the OBR is what you're wanting. It's from Sighted Electronics at
http://www.sighted.com/english/obr.html.
We had a very early version but never succeeded in getting an update. It
handles wide braille paper on a typical 9 inch wide scanner by scanning the
left and right side of the page and putting the two halves together--pretty
slick. Doing a bound book is a bit clumsy; separate sheets are much easier.

Does anybody on this list have a working knowledge of the Braille scanning
software who would be willing to give me some information on how it works. I
assist the School for the Blind in Trinidad and Tobago and we would like to
scan a couple of books which were transcribed using the Perkins Brailler. In
this part of the world we use the British Mathematics Braille Notation instead
of the Nemeth Code.

Anybody who wishes to give the information I want should write me off list at

Thanks in advance for any help.
