If you have a Word file, I would split it there. I know you use the BANA
template, and the code for starting with a different braille page number is
in the Page Setups menu. The code is [[*pv__*]][[*pnta*]] where the
underscores are replaced with your desired number.
If you don't have a Word file, I would split the dxp file. In that case, use
the above code in the DBT format.
I think the easiest way to split a file is to make a copy and then delete
the part you don't want from each file. If you are working in DBT, it's best
to have codes showing, so you don't unknowingly delete any codes
unintentionally.

Hello everybody. I have a document that will be about 150 pages long. I will
emboss it in interpoint. To make it fit easily into one inch combs, I want
to break it into two volumes. The Braille page numbers will continue from
volume one to volume two. Each volume will have its own Table of Contents
with Braille page numbers. Is it better to split the dxp or the dxb files?
What is the code for setting the starting Braille page number?
Are there any dbt best practices for doing this?
