Ouch! It sounds like you need more privileges on your own machine. Rather stupid of your administrator not to give you enough clout to cancel your own print job.

Ann,

What kind of message did you get when you tried to cancel the job?  When
you rebooted the machine, Windows attempted to finish the job it started
before you shut down the system.  That's why your Juliet started
embossing when you turned it on.  It's buffer was cleared the minute you
turned it off, but was refilled by the system.
