Hi Goran,
What did you do your test print from? If you ran the Index Self-Test, this
does NOT communicate with the PC.
Does your embosser appear as a printer in Windows 7’s Devices and Printers? If
you did the test print from there, then the chances are that you have not
configured DBT’s Global: Embosser Setup quite correctly.
Run DBT and go to Global: Embosser Setup.
Make sure that the Embosser is highlighted.
Click on the “Modify” button, and look at the three radio buttons in Output
Options section.
Make sure that the “Send to Printer” radio button is selected, and that the
Embosser is selected from the list of Devices and Printers. Click OK twice to
return to DBT.
Now start a completely *new* document with just a few words. Translate and
Emboss and see if that resolves the problem.
I should add that Duxbury are closed today for “President’s Day”, but we’ll do
our best to help you.

Subject: [duxuser] DBT 11.2 and Index everest-D v4
Dear,
I write you for ask to help me in solving the problem that I have with braille
printer. Namely, I use index-D V4 printer, where is the firmware 1.5.3, and
installed a driver v.6 and v.8. On the computer I installed the DBT. 11.2, but
still can not print anything. I tried to do a test printer and it has be
successed, they print my test, which means that the printer communicates with
the computer and that the driver is well installed.
My question is why I can not print anything on DBT's v.11.2? Finally I note
that on a computer is installed Windows 7.
Kind regards,
Goran Macanovic
