Tom,

In the Duxbury Help menu .... You have to tell DBT that it's a "picture" file you're sending to the embosser so it comes out with all the dots connected.

"Layout: Picture.

This menu allows you to insert or realign tactile graphics images produced using separate programs.

Select Add... to insert a picture file at the current cursor position in your document. The picture will be centered horizontally on the page.

When the cursor is resting on a picture, you can use Align Left, Align Center or Align Right to change the alignment.

You can use the backspace or delete keys to remove the picture from your document.

Resolution: Your "picture" will be produced using closely embossed dots. This setting controls how close together the dots are placed.

(Hint: it is often easiest to use enable <mk:@MSITStore:c:\books\Dbt-jttf\HELPFILE.CHM::/MENUES/MENU_LAYOUT/../MENU_VIEW/View__Codes.htm>View: Codes to determine for certain that the cursor is resting on a picture. The picture will show up as a [gd] <mk:@MSITStore:c:\books\Dbt-jttf\HELPFILE.CHM::/MENUES/MENU_LAYOUT/../../More/Code_basics.htm>code.)

Cheers!
Sharon

Hello, I need some help with embossing tactile drawings on our Enabling Technologies embosser. Someone was kind enough to send me a tactile brf tactile to try out. When I open it in Duxbury it gave me an error of page width and depth exceeded. It embossed fine except it was on two pages and some of the dots on the right side did not connect fully. Hopefully there is a easy way to resolve this.

                                          Thanks for any help,
